4 Camera Multiplexer DVR (Model: XVIS4DVRE)

This represents excellent value for money, it records up to 4 cameras at near DVD quality directly on to Hard Drive.It features motion detection, remote access via Internet/Network and a choice of 40GB, 160GB or 250GB Hard Drives.

Features:

Records 1 to 4 cameras at near DVD quality in two different recording modes:

Quad Mode:

In Quad mode the cameras are viewable live full screen or as a quad, whilst being recorded as a quad. They are recorded at 352x288 resolution and in real time (maximum of 100 fps)

Multiplexer Mode:

In Multiplexer mode the cameras are viewable full screen or as a quad image, whilst being recorded full screen. During playback they can be viewed as a quad or full screen. They are recorded at 704x564 resolution at up to 25 fps.

There is a choice of 40GB, 160GB or 250GB Hard Drives for up to 6 months recording
Time, Date and Camera Title Stamp on all recordings

On screen Motion Detection (the unit analyses the camera picture and detects movement, once movement is detected the unit will start recording, and when movement stops it will stop. Once the hard drive is full you can set the system to either warn you or automatically start erasing older recordings to make room for new recordings. Using the motion detection feature will extend the recording times shown above as the DVR will not record when there is no movement being detected.

• Local Area Network - The unit is already fitted with a LAN socket for connection to the network. With this type of connection another PC on the LAN can playback recordings, view the cameras live and record them, have 2 way audio communication with the site and control Pan/Tilt/Zoom cameras or Speed Domes, optional PTZ Camera/Speed Dome Interface required (Model: XPRS)
• Modem - By adding the optional External 56k Modem required (Model: XVISMDM), you can dial in to the unit from anywhere in the world using a PC, Modem and normal telephone line. With this type of connection you can access the system remotely from anywhere in the world via a Windows PC/Laptop and a modem (or mobile phone with built in modem). To connect you will have to call the telephone number that your x-vision system is connected to. With this type of connection you can only view the cameras live.
• Broadband/ADSL - By adding the optional External ADSL Router (Model: XADSLR), you can access the system remotely from anywhere in the world via a Windows PC/Laptop with an Internet connection. With this type of connection you can playback recordings, view the cameras live and record them, have 2 way audio communication with the site and control Pan/Tilt/Zoom cameras or Speed Domes, optional PTZ Camera/Speed Dome Interface required (Model: XPRS). You can also access live camera views from an internet enable Pocket PC PDA, or Pocket PC Phone.

Recording Speeds:

The system has 3 different modes of operation for allocating frames to cameras:

• Motion Activated Automatic Frame Allocation: In this mode the total frame rate of the card is shared by the number of cameras being recorder. For example there may be 32 cameras connected to the system but only 5 of them have movement, in this mode the 5 active cameras will each share the maximum frame rate available.

• Priority Mode: In this mode each camera can be given a low frame rate to record at when there is no movement taking place, and a high frame rate to record at when there is movement. For example, if 32 cameras are connected they can be set to record at 1 fps each, then as a camera picks up movement it will be recorded at a total frame rate of 185 fps, if 2 or more cameras detect movement at the same time then the 185 fps will be shared between them.

• Fixed Recording: This is the most popular setting and allows you to set the number of frames each camera will use during recording.
